What Does DHAF Do?
Health Education
DHAF provides health education to the local community with the aim to increase health literacy and improve preventative healthcare measures. Health education materials are available at the DHAF clinic and educational lectures are hosted by DHAF physicians and providers.
Health Screenings
Early detection is critical for the appropriate diagnosis and treatment of hypertension and diabetes. DHAF provides screenings for the local community in Tangail, Bangladesh. If a person is identified to have diabetes, hypertension, or is at risk for these diseases, they are connected with health programs at the DHAF clinic for further management and intervention.
Community Support
DHAF’s involvement in the local community extends beyond the clinic. DHAF provides support to the senior citizens of Tangail (in the form of monetary and food support). Community support was additionally increased during the COVID-19 pandemic where DHAF provided monetary support, food, and PPE supplies to the community.
